What Causes Under-Eye Bags and Dark Circles?

Our eye area is surrounded by a special oil that can easily spread in all directions, and this fat area can maintain its position thanks to a natural barrier called the "septum". With genetic reasons or an age-related increase, the septum is pushed forward by the fat bag. As we age, the bone structure of our face gets thinner, and the bone naturally moves backwards in this case. As a result of these situations, gaps, shadows and bruises occur under our eye area.

How is Under-Eye Light Filling Application Performed?

The application is performed under local anesthesia. Before the application, anesthetic is injected into the eye area at a dose that will provide regional numbness. In addition, the content of the filling contains local anesthetic substance. Under-Eye Light Filling is applied on the bone, not under the skin, unlike other filling applications. The procedure, which is performed by injecting it under the eye through cannulas, takes an average of 35 minutes. 

How is the Under-Eye Light Filling Healing Process?

Final under-eye look is achieved within a week of application. During this period, bruising and swelling do not occur, except in very rare cases. Slight redness can be observed at the needle entry areas, this is temporary and usually recovers spontaneously within a day or two. The second week after the application, your doctor will make an appointment to check the results. After 2 weeks, it is determined whether a second session is required. If so, the application is repeated after four weeks.
